Long time, HUGE edits!

Hello Readers,

Well for those of you who purchased the book in its first year of existence, I thank you. You now hold in your hands (or on your hard drives) an original copy for I, Christina Prince, have just undergone a major overhaul of the book and the story itself. There is now 30+ more pages of content spread out about the chapters and I even tweaked the cover a bit. I think the hard work has paid off becuase despite my deviation from my original idea, I think its a better story becuase of it. A lot can happen when you put something down, walk away, and come back months later. While I don't for see anything major happening with the book other than more editing of simple mechanics, you never know.

Also Mushian is in full swing, please check it out at: http://tentoumushi.comicgenesis.com

Chapters 13-15 edited!

Hello readers!

I'm delighted to inform that chapters 13-15 of Plamen Oren have been revised and are now on the book ordering site. Dan is doing a wonderful job, then again I've been saying that in every post. Work has been keeping me kind of busy (working 6 days a week now, 9 to 9 on three of those days) so I've had little time to edit, write or anything of that nature. I have written a few poems (I wont let what happened in 2005 happen again, only 2 poems? Bah!) I'm already starting to think of my next 5 year poetry collection :P. Poetry has always been my "best" form of writing becuase in poetry you don't *have* to string together sentences properly haahaa. So I can get away with more :P. Anyway, I started Kung  Fu again. Today is my second intro lesson, which will show whether or not I'll be in the basic track or in the master's program. I'll be sure to let you all know how it goes!.

Progress made!

Hello readers!

Well my Poetry collection, "The Roseblood Poet" is nearly ready to be published. This collection will house all my poems (that I dubbed worthy enough) from 2003 - 2007. Lots of interesting stuff, especially if you like story poems. Plamen Oren chapter 13 is done, with chapters 14 and 15 about to be done soon. My Day job keeps me busy but I'll keep on truckin' as the saying goes.

Yaay NYC!

Hello Readers!

My mother, friend, and I went to New York City yesterday for some shopping and to see the big tree. We had a ton of fun. I got tons of pictures with random stuff, including one of the monsters at Jekyll and Hyde, a theme resteraunt where we ate lunch :). If you've never been you should go, we spent over an hour waiting but we were very entertained. The only bummer was the fact that we couldn't get a taxy back to the station. We hailed no less than 6 cabs, all of them refused us when we told them where we were going. So we ended up walking from 58th and 4th to 32nd and 6th ( give or take a street number) and let me tell you, walking that much in a crowd on a full stomach isn't fun.

In book news, I've began work on my poetry collection which will be release early 2008. You all will be the first to know when it is :)

Site Overhaulin time!

Hello Readers!

Well I finally hunkered down and re-did the website. Now its more compact, to the point, and far more stylish I think. check it out!

http://www.plamenoren.com

The advert thing at the bottom is only temporary. Once the holidays are over and I can save some money I'm going to commission some more awesome 3D are from Ms. Johwire, and make it better looking. But for now it is what it is.

I also did some more tinkering with the book itself. I clarified the roll of a cameo character and I feel a lot better about having her in there now. She seems less...random.

Until next time, Merry Christmas everyone!

Updates and a concert!

Hello Readers!

Here are some delightful updates!

1) Chapter 12 has been edited and I wrote in a new scene, lengthening a really important but way too short chapter. Dan is double checking the new scene, making sure it actually serves a purpose and you know, is not all random and such.

2) I was banned from a forum for having an opinion and expressing it openly, I wear it as a badge of honor. I feel like the forum Socrates, and though they did kill him, most didn't want to.

3) I actually have things to do at work today! I love making brochures, but I'm taking a wee break to post this and do some other odd things on the internet.

---

So I saw the Trans-Siberian Orchestra Saturday night and it was AWESOME. they are one of the few acts worth seeing anymore.  They did all their famous ones (all the ones people wanted to hear) plus some random songs like a cover of "Proud Mary" from CCR. xD All in all it was a good night. The fam got along, my brother was in good spirits and we both got awesome T-shirts. Other than that we watched some football. My Packers kicked the stuffing out of Oakland, as they should have.

Have a great day readers, I'll post again soon ^^

Introducing Tiddles and Tot!

Hello readers,

Updates before I begin:

1) Chapters 10 and 11 are edited and the new version of PO has been updated on the book site, so those who purchase it, now will have the most recent edit.

---

I'd like to introduce a new side project by myself and my esteemed editor, Mr. Dan Van Blarcom. What happens when a Raccoon and a Fox are forced to live together? MAYHEM. (for those that don't know the reference, in Japanese culture the Kitsune and Tanuki, or fox and raccoon are rivals. Its sort of like Snake vrs Mongoose.)

This is turning out to be a fun little side project ^^

Someone was looking after me this morning...

Hello Readers!

A few new bytes before I get started

1) chapter 10 has been edited ^^

2) My Editor Dan and I are embarking on a new project together. I'll post the details about it later but lets just say there will be fox vrs Raccoon mayhem abound!

So it snowed hard core in my area yesterday. It was so severe that it made me miss my concert in Philly but based on what happened this morning I'm glad I wasn't on the road last night. I swear the angels must have been looking out for me en force, here's why. I walk outside my house and my steps are covered in ice. I suddenly get this STRONG feeling that I'm going to slip. And sure enough. I slipped on the last step and scraped my knee. This of course could have been much worse, so I got off light.

If that wasn't enough, as I was driving to work I got another STRONG feeling again that I was going to slip on the ice, so I slowed down. Sure enough about 5 seconds later I did a 180 in my car. Oddly enough all the cars that were around were gone, the street was empty long enough for me to 180, stop, then right myself.

And if THAT wasn't enough, when I got to work my Co-worker (who usually comes after me) was there and she warned me that my usual parking spot was covered in ice, and that she slid into her own spot.

Weird, huh?

Worky-ness!

Hello Readers,

First an inventory of bookish things I did today:

1) Recived edited chapter 10 from Dan, will edit in master compy tomorrow-day.

2) Worked more on Book 2 and have began mulling over a possible book 3.

3) Flash Project is still getting organized, I'm hoping to make contact with the various participants in the project by the end of the week.

4) New defalt avatar. It looks just like me! (kinda...)

Other than that tomorrow is the LaSalle University Singers Christmas Concert! I shall be driving from work to go see it (I used to be an active member before I graduated). It'll be nice to see my friends again, I should visit my old Alma Mater more often. Go to college kids, its more than a good excuse to party hard and get away form your parents ;)

Another day, another chapter

Hello Readers!

A few things:

1) Dan has gotten abck to me with chapter 9, its now edited and ready to do. :). I made some minor changes, and clarified some things. The more and more I edit and refine the more I feel its becoming a better story. Keep up the awsome work Danny-bear! *high fives*

2) Everything has been sent to TWN, script for chapter 1, image info, music info, the works! All I think we need to figure out who will be playing who in chapter 1. I need to listen to the people who want to try for Plamen especially, since his voice is a bit specific and hard to get down. When people hear the word "accent" they ALWAYS overdo it. I need to have words with the future voice actor of my Plamen :3.

3) I added some clarification in two very crucial, yet very short chapters. I need to beef those chapters up some.

That is all for now!

Very exciting news!

Hello Readers,

Well I just finished writing a script. A script for what, you may ask? Just the Flash Serial version of my novel, Plamen Oren :). The ball is rolling on that. We'll be using them to promote the book, of course, as well as drum up some interest in the story. We'll be taking things chapter by chapter. Everything about it will be original, original music, images, and etc. I'm very excited about it. :) Lets keep out fingers crossed shall we?

Gallery updated!

Hello readers,

Well as promised the gallery has been updated and it looks much more spiffy than it did before. I also added two new artworks to the official section, both by little ol' me. The first is an illustration of Chapter 1, 'The eastern Wind' and the second is my first semi-successful attempt at Dianna Redoak and her son, Marnin. Please check those and the rest of the art here: http://www.plamenoren.com/gallery.html Prints of these and other art are available on my DA page.

Other than that I've contacted my good buddy and fellow awesome artist Monique about getting three more 3D renderings for the website done. I'd like to get art of the 4 leads for the site in a sort of animated action advertisement.  I'll keep you all posted on that. I also worked a little on the "extras" section but that's sort of stalled for now. I'm seriously contemplating re-doing some of the current sections in flash, make them look a bit better, perhaps. By the way, if anyone is interested in doing art for the book, a free copy of the electronic version of the book may be "on the table" so to speak. Please email me if you're interested.

In book news, Dan is nearly done with chapter 9, lets give him a cheer for he faithfully works on edits despite being very busy. I'm looking forward to making changes and truck on with the editing process.

I hope everyone had a nice break!

Hello Readers!

A couple things I did in the manner of improving my book and website. I've started revising the gallery so now it animates the image, title, and a little description about the artwork. I've started this and hope to get the revised gallery format up and running my Friday. I also made some improved art for the inside title/ISBN page, which is free for viewing on my deviant art page (and you know, you could purchase the book to see, once its all edited to my liking :) ) I'll be adding the color version of  the "Plamen Chapter 1" illustration to the main gallery on the site once the improvements have been made. I'm also looking forward to a few nuggets of commissioned art, and as you know fan art is always welcome (and you know will be added to the site) I also need to get my bum in gear and get the "extras" section up. I'm planning on housing links, artist links, and other fun little asides there (like suggested listening and such.)

So yes, so much to do so little time!

Chapter 8 done, Commissions Open!

Hello Readers,

I've been a busy little bee with my side projects as of late. Chapter 8 is edited and I'm currently adding titles to the chapters. For a while now I've been having trouble remebering what happens in each chapter (there are 25 of them!) and I realize that if I can't keep it all straight how on earth can I expect the reader to? I feel that the titles will help me (and you) remeber what happens in each chapter better.

I have new art commissions open! You can get an adorable piece of art for as little as 5.00 USD. If you're interested please visit my art site at: matsuban.deviantart.com :)

Also, a fellow artist needs your help. A friend of mine who runs a wonderful online comic had his art bag stolen, loosing months of work and his art supplies. Please help him out by visiting his online comic: www.pholph.com and visiting the forum, where you can bid on artwork, or send a donation. I'm currently running an auction of my own work (custom made just for you!) in which all the profits go to helping him get some much needed supplies to keep the comic going.

Other than that I have a deer-skin jacket, it is glorious, and PETA can kiss my bum.

chapter 7 done, Le Compte Pauline outline started!

Hello Readers,

Sorry it took me so long to reply. Chapter 7 of Plamen Oren is edited and i started an outline for the story I'll be doing after Children of the stag. I think it has potential to be a really nice story, but its only in its embryotic stages at the moment. Feel free to take a gander at the poem (as I write all my outlines in poetry form, even Plamen Oren started out as a long ballad) via the following link: http://matsuban.deviantart.com/art/Le-Compte-Pauline-I-69094014

Other than that I've had a pleasant couple of days. the arty juices have been flowing and I won an awesome deerskin jacket on ebay, I'm rather excited about that. Still hoping to get a links section together for the site but I've been sort of lazy with it at the moment. As soon as I get all the artist information together I'll be making a links section in extras, they're all commissionable and I'm happy to throw some business their way. Other than that, looking forward to spending Thanksgiving in West Virginia. the landscape out there is beautiful!

Happy Halloween Edits

Hello Readers,

Well Dan came through and now the long chapter 6 has been edited. I discovered something about the druid Halloween that I've readily incorporated into my novel. Oddly enough the celebration was close enough to the old Halloween that I really only had to put in a line or two of tweaking. So I thought that was neat. Halloween was a hoot. Kay was too cute in her little bumblebee costume and as for me, well, I had a hard time keeping myself decent. Here are those pictures I promised (I'm the ladybug :3):

<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v134/vspider/IMG_0244.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket">

Well I'm going to get back to work. I really need to get some things up in the extras section of the site. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know :)

Happy Whore-a-ween everyone!

Hello Readers,

Sorry i skipped a day in my posting. Work is getting a bit busy at the moment. I've had to put a halt on commissions this month, and a myriad of other things. Dan is working hard on the next chapter (its taking him a little longer becuase the chapter is quite huge) and I'm looking forward to getting that back from him.

As for Halloween this year, I'm dressing as a smutty ladybug. It kind of stinks now. Halloween used to be fun as a kid. I could dress up as something cool and still be wearing enough to stay warm. Now as a grown female my only options are Whore, whore, slutty insect, whore, Lolita whore, and playboy whore. While I don't mind the attire, I do mind freezing my bum off. Oh well at least I'll look good, I suppose. I'll be sure to post pictures here and on facebook. I can't wait to see what J came up with for a costume.

Happy Monday!

Hello Readers,

Well Halloween is in a few days. I'm going trick or treating with my friend J and her little girl (yes the both of us are way too old but we're armed with a small child, so we can dress up too. Though I REALLY don't need any more candy.) I'm going as a ladybug (ladybird for all your Brits out there!) and the little one is going to be a baby bumblebee. J still needs to figure out a buggy costume for herself, I'm sure she'll come up with something.

In book news, chapter 5 is edited (oh boy was it ever) probably the biggest overhaul so far. My editor and I had a discussion that I think I should share with you all (please feel free to give your two cents). There is a scene in the book that originally contained some sexual encounter-ness within a married couple. My editor thought even the implication was a bit much for younger teens (the book is rated teen, by the way). I chose to follow his advice and take the sexual implications out. What do you all think? Is the fact that they're married and in bed enough, or do you think further exposition is needed? I'm always interested in opinions so please feel free to give them.

Other than that, the book edits are chuggin' away nicely.
